Flagging Customers at Risk for Churn

With Buyer Discovery, you can flag customers for churn in Salesforce by creating a custom field for Churn. This field can be set to update based on Buyer Discovery intent signals to read “CHURN ALERT” and added to the columns of the main Accounts view.


Here are the steps:


Creating a Churn Flag Custom Field


  1. In your Salesforce org, click on the Setup icon

  2. In the Setup page, search and click on Object Manager

  3. In the Object Manager, select the Buyer Discovery Product Intent object

  4. In the Buyer Discovery Product Intent object, click on Fields and Relationships

  5. In Fields and Relationships, click on New

  6. For the new Field, name it Churn Flag and for Data Type select Checkbox

  7. Click next and then Click Save


Creating a Flow to raise Churn Flag based on Buyer Discovery Intent Signals


  1. In your Salesforce org, click on the Setup icon

  2. On the Setup page, search and click on Flows

  3. On the Flows page, click on Create new

  4. In the Flow Builder, select Auto-launched Flow and give it a name

  5. For the Action, select Edit Update Records

  6. In the Edit Update Records pop up, select Buyer Discovery Product Intent as the Object, that Competitor 1 Does Not Equal Empty String (Is Not Null), and Purchase Intent is Very high. Then, Set the Field Churn Flag to the Value True





  1. Run this Flow




  1. You can check the results by adding the Churn Flag fields as a column in the main grid for Buyer Discovery Product Intent
