Assigning Source Country intent to Accounts based on Billing Country

This requires subscription to Salesforce Analytics Studio, a separate offering from the general Salesforce CRM.

Version of Software

•	“CRM Analytics Growth”, https://www.salesforce.com/products/crm-analytics/pricing/

•	Only one license is needed to configure the solution provided. The data provided to the accounts through the analytics CRM package is available to all.

Introduction

By default, the Buyer Discovery for Salesforce integration provides intent signals for Account records, solely based on an Account's Website field (matched to Buyer Discovery Company Domain field).

In this case, intent signals are not segmented based on sub-accounts that have differing Billing Country values.

Overview

The Source Intent Feature can be enabled by connecting a vendor's Salesforce org to specific Snowflake tables provided by Gartner Digital Markets.

These Snowflake tables are used daily to export Salesforce Account records to Snowflake, update the records with source-country level intent within Snowflake, and import the updated records from Snowflake to Salesforce.

The Source Intent Feature Snowflake tables can be configured to sync with Salesforce via the Analytics Studio add-on feature within Salesforce, API calls, or other integration tools. In the following walkthrough articles, Salesforce Analytics Studio is used as example.

Example

Scenario: The company Gartner is an account, with two sub-account records: one for Gartner India (Billing Country = India), and one for Gartner USA (Billing Country = USA).

By default: Buyer Discovery selects one Account record, and assign intent signals from around the world to this record.

  • Gartner USA would show Medium Purchase Intent, based on all international sessions.

With the Source Intent Feature: users can assign country-level intent to Accounts, based on an Account's Billing Country.

  • Buyer Discovery now populates Gartner India with Very High Purchase Intent, and Gartner USA with Low Purchase Intent, based on session activities specific to each country.

CRM Analytics Components

The Source Intent feature requires a subscription to Salesforce CRM Analytics, a separate offering from the general Salesforce CRM.
